Nimrod man charged with allegedly pawning employer's tools
A 54-year-old man from Nimrod was charged in Wadena County District Court with felony theft for allegedly taking items from his work place and pawning them at area pawn shops.
Court records said Richard Earl Hansen was employed at a Menahga business for a short time, and during that period, tools started to disappear. The same tools later showed up in pawn shops in Park Rapids and Staples. Records from the Park Rapids shop showed Hansen had pawned the tools there, which were a match to the tools missing from his work place, court documents said.
Hansen was scheduled for an initial appearance on July 18.
