United Way fund drive almost complete
The Wadena Area United Way board learned recently that the fund drive is three-quarters of the way to its fund-raising goal for the current campaign. The goal is $25,000.
Two business contributors were cited for having successful in-house drives. They were Tri-County Hospital with the highest total, and UPS for having the highest percentage of employees contributing. In the service/non-profit sector, Congregational United Church of Christ gave the highest amount.
Most of the monies pledged to the fourteen agencies which United Way supports will be paid in the spring, so contributions can still be made so the goal can be reached. Contributions may be sent to Box 22, Wadena, MN 56482.
