Relay For life set for Aug. 1-2
The annual Relay for Life event will be held Aug. 1-2 at Sunnybrook Park beginning at 3 p.m.
Events include mini carnival games and a photo booth at 3:30 p.m., a silent auction from 4:30 to 8 p.m., a dinner at 4:30 p.m. and opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. The lighting of luminaries will begin at 8:30 p.m.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Wadena Hockey Arena.

Celiac Disease support group slated for Aug. 11
A support group meeting for those with celiac disease will be held Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at Wadena Alliance Church. The monthly free support meeting is being held to help people with Celiac Disease learn more about the disease: what to eat, how to cook and bake using gluten-free flours and ingredients. Informational materials will be available along with some gluten-free recipes. Each meeting begins with a pot luck supper. Along with a gluten-free dish to share, please bring about eight copies of the recipe to share with the group.

Benefit for Jerry Crabb set for Aug. 3
A pasta/chicken bar benefit and silent auction for Jerry Crabb is scheduled for Sunday Aug. 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Hub 71 in Sebeka.
Crabb had back surgery in late April. Along with complications and various other things going wrong, he ended up back down in Rochester for over three weeks to figure out what was going on and extensive therapy. Please come support Crabb and his family by joining us at the upcoming benefit.
