New Year baby born at Lakewood

The New Year brings the celebration of birth for William Chew and Andrea Blake of Sartell, who welcomed their new baby girl, Avalene Junette, into the world Jan. 3.

Avalene was the first baby of the New Year at Lakewood Health System. She weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Dr. Carol Uhlman was assisted by Nurse Nan Hanson in the birth.

To celebrate Avalene's birth, Lakewood Health System Auxiliary and Piece Makers Quilting Club presented gifts to the family in honor of the New Year.
