Nevis tops Verndale girls on the hard court, 61-26

The Nevis Tigers held Art Schluttner's Verndale girls to a season-low 26 points Tuesday night as they won a 61-26 decision for their fourth straight victory.

Megan Norby and Riley Hanson tallied 19 points each in the victory. Betsy Hjelseth chipped in with 11 points.

Kaitlin Richter was Verndale's top scorer with nine points.

The Tigers improved to 12-8 while the Pirates dropped to 6-13.

Madison Dorn pumped in 32 points as Class A's top-ranked Panthers topped the Pirates Thursday to keep their unbeaten record intact.

Micaela Noga and Tamara Schmidt tacked up 19 and 14 points respectively.

Teresa Moenkedick led the Pirates with 11 points.

The victory was the 400th of John Noga's coaching career at Parkers.
