Tri-County Health Care recently received $1,250 and a Safety Star Award Plaque by Health Care Insurance Reciprocal in recognition of its exceptionally low workers' compensation costs. TCHC received this award due to their ongoing commitment to safety and injury management programs over an extended period of time. Facilities awarded with a Safety Star Award Plaque must have a loss ratio of 30 percent or lower.
"Our commitment to injury management and safe patient handling is evident through this award," said Kathy Kleen, director of patient care services. "We are honored to have received it."
The award was presented to TCHC on June 25 at the HCIR annual meeting in Minneapolis. Health Care Insurance Reciprocal is a leading provider of workers compensation insurance and serves non-profit health care providers across the state of Minnesota.
