Funeral services were held for Myron Horn, age 60, of Deer Creek, Minnesota on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek, Minnesota with Pastor Paul Yearyean officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Judy Zeise. The pallbearers were Daryl Zeise, Larry Helmrichs, Wayne Guse, Jon Neels, Larry Carlson, and Cliff Christianson. Myron was laid to rest in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Deer Creek, Minnesota.
Myron Allen Horn was born on July 15, 1954 in Wadena, Minnesota. His parents were the late Edgar and Ella (Guse) Horn. Myron was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in 1954 and confirmed on April 7, 1968. He graduated from Deer Creek High School with the class of 1972. Myron was employed with Burlington Northern for 11 years before he took over the family farm for 10 years. He was also employed at Offitt for 4 years. Myron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Preceding Myron in death were his parents: Edgar and Ella Horn.
Myron passed away peacefully on August 8, 2014 at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, Minnesota at 60 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Myron is survived by his siblings: Caroline Horn of Bloomington; Joyce (Bruce) OHern of Ramsey; Lyle Horn of Deer Creek; Linda Horn of Bloomington; Judy (Jim) Micko of Lonsdale; 6 nieces and nephews: Jackie, Tanya, Cory, Devin (Samantha), Gina (Cory), and Luke (Laura); 4 great-nieces and nephews: Ella, Everett, Jordan, and Landon; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Arrangements are with the Belmont Funeral Home of Henning, Minnesota.
