Mona LaValley Ministries to hold evangelistic meetings
The Wadena City Council agreed to work out a use agreement with Mona LaValley Ministries so she can hold weekly evangelistic meetings in Burlington Northern Park this spring and summer.
Rick Bolinske requested the city allow LaValley to use the park for a one-hour service each week for two or three months beginning in May. The service will include singing, preaching, a time for prayer and an opportunity for people to accept Christ, he said.
LaValley is from the area and graduated from Sebeka High School and was the senior pastor at the Assembly of God Church in New York Mills, Bolinske said.
City Administrator Brad Swenson asked Bolinske if they would be willing to work out a use agreement that would spell out the times, dates and expectations for them to use the park.
