Minnesota Energy Resources donates to Wadena, Menahga food shelves
Minnesota Energy Resources, a subsidiary of Integrys (TEG), serving 165 communities throughout the state of Minnesota, made donations totaling more than $90,000 to charitable organizations, associations and worthwhile causes that requested financial assistance.
The groups represented arts and culture, community and neighborhood development, education, safety, human services and health, along with care for the environment. These contributions are presented by Minnesota Energy Resources and Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, a private foundation supported by Minnesota Energy Resources and other affiliates of Wisconsin Public Service Corporation. The foundation is funded by shareholders of the corporation and not by utility customers.
Jim Olson, Minnesota Energy Resources technician, gave a $1,000 donation to Mary Ann Hagen, co-director of the Wadena Food Shelf. A donation was also made to the Menahga Food Shelf.
"We're extremely pleased to help out financially or simply lend a hand to efforts that improve the quality of life for everyone, said Ann Carlon, senior external relations manager for Minnesota Energy Resources.
