The Memorial Celebration of Life for Michael Lepper of Wadena will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena. Michael passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN.
Michael was born to Floyd and Wanda (Kopp) Lepper on January 18, 1951, in Wadena, MN. He graduated from Robbinsdale High School in Minneapolis. Mike started his career as a foreman at a cabinet shop in the cities. Later, he moved to Wadena where he was employed as a truck driver for Polman Transfer and then worked as a Head Start teacher, retiring after 18 years. Mike married Deboreah Ruth Shriver on June 30, 1984, in Wadena. They had one stepchild Michael Volpe, and two children together, Richard and James. Mike enjoyed grouse hunting and being at the lake with his family. He always enjoyed spending time with his kids and granddaughter. Mike was a member of the Elks Lodge for over 35 years.
Mike is survived by his wife Deboreah; sons Richard (Megan Lound) of Wadena and James (Hattie Johnson) Lepper of Hawley; step-son Michael Volpe of Wadena; and granddaughter Chloe Mae Lepper; brothers Tom (Karen) Lepper of Hopkins and Jim (Connie) Lepper of Wadena; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Wanda Lepper.
