Meyer and Jahnke claim victories at Minnewaska
Logan Meyer won his third straight shot put title and Autumn Jahnke grabbed top honors in the pole vault Thursday in the Minnewaska Invitational.
Meyer put the shot 50-3 giving the senior standout three winning tosses this season of more than 50 feet.
Jahnke cleared the bar at 7-6 for her first victory in the pole vault. Jahnke also ran 10th in the 100 hurdles with a 19.95.
Emma Schmitz gave the Wolverines third-place points in the 1,600 run with a time of 6:09.
Sydney Schissel tied for fourth in the pole vault with a 6-0 effort.
Chris Steward picked up a pair of fifth-place finishes for the Wolverines in the 100 and 200 dash events. Steward was clocked at 12.13 in the 100 and 25.97 in the 200.
The Otter Tail Central Bulldogs claimed first place in both meets with the boys racking up 197 points and the girls scoring 105. The Wolverines were seventh in both meets with the boys scoring 22 points and the girls scoring 21.
