Meeting set to coordinate flood relief efforts locally
A meeting has been set for Monday night in Wadena to coordinate and organize local flood relief operations for the Red River Valley.
The idea came out of a Wadena Ministerial meeting which discussed local flood-fighting efforts the last time the Red had a major flood in 1997.
"A big thing we learned is it's a long haul," said the Rev. Del Moen. "It's not going to be done overnight."
Moen said rather than many small groups each trying to put forth their own flood relief efforts, one coordinated response would be preferable.
The meeting has been set for 7 p.m. on Monday, April 6 at M State Wadena.
