Forum Communications Co. has promoted Matthew McMillan to vice president of newspapers and MaryJo Hotzler to vice president of content.
McMillan joined FCC this past February. He started his career selling advertising at Minnesota newspapers in Minnetonka, Minneapolis and Cambridge. He later served 17 years as publisher of the Hutchinson Leader and several other publications, including Crow River Press. In his new role, McMillan will oversee publishers of the company's 63 print products.
Hotzler has been with the company since 2001 and has been a reporter and an editor. She has worked both at The Forum and the Grand Forks Herald.
In her new role, Hotzler will work with FCC newsrooms and digital content teams, including editors and news directors, and she will continue to oversee operations of Forum News Service.
"I look forward to playing a bigger role in the overall direction of our company and will be focused on making sure our newspapers and our websites are the best around," Hotzler said.
Both McMillan and Hotzler are based in Fargo.
"The two have been a part of our executive management team for some time now, and their contributions have been invaluable," said Bill Marcil Jr., president and CEO of Forum Communications. "The company and myself are blessed to have such talented people help steer our company as we navigate the quickly changing media landscape."
