Marvin Klever, 77, of Henning died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his home in Henning, surrounded by his family and under hospice care.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Henning with the Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Carleen Markuson is the organist. Pallbearers are Marvin's grandchildren: Jason and Jessica Zinter, Kim Weinzierl and Kyle Klever, Kelly and Dustin Klever, and Trista, Kayla, and Jared Klever. Interment with military honors is in the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Henning. Visitation is from 5-7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and resumes for an hour prior to services at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Belmont Funeral Home (www.belmontfuneral.com) is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his sons: Kenneth (Kathy) Klever, Moorhead, Kevin (Lori) Klever, Henning, and Kurt (Cindi) Klever, Spicer, Minn.; a daughter, Vicki (Russell) Zinter, Ellendale, N.D.; brothers, Maynard (Vicky) Klever, Sartell, Minn., Marlowe (Charlyne) Klever, Henning, Harvey (Kathy) Klever, Henning, and Harry (Linda) Klever Battle Lake; a sister: Alice Wassink, Thief River Falls, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a sister, Gladys; and a brother-in-law, Norman.
