The Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret "Muggs" Roggenkamp will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00-8:00p.m. at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena, with a Rosary at 5:00 and Parish Prayers at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday from 9:30a.m. until the time of Mass. Surrounded by her family, Margaret passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena. She was 87 years old.
Margaret, "Muggs", as she was known to family and friends, was born to George Sr. and Laura (Fresonke) Wynn on June 8, 1927, in Minneapolis, where she was raised and attended Ascension Parochial School. On May 17, 1948, she was united in marriage with Anthony "Tony" Roggenkamp at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton.
Muggs and Tony made their life and raised their family on a farm near Bluffton. Her days were filled with the tasks of caring for her family and helping with the chores of farm work. She cherished the time spent with her family. After retiring, they lived in Wadena and Hewitt. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton and St. Anns Catholic Church in Wadena.
Muggs was preceded in death by her husband Tony on April 13, 2013; parents George and Laura; brothers George and Jim Wynn; sister Rosemary Hegarty; and grandchildren Christina Roggenkamp, Jacob Roggenkamp, Mark Roggenkamp and Joseph Sampson.
She is survived by her children Thomas (Karen) of Phoenix, AZ, John of Brainerd, MN, Doris (Keith) Kosse of Fargo, ND, Donald (Mary) of Fergus Falls, MN, Daniel (Denise) of Butte, MT, Henry (Kim) of Wadena, Joan (John) Malone of Wadena, MaryAnn (Steve) Sampson of Fergus Falls, and William of Glenwood, MN; sister-in-law Arlene Wynn of Wadena, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Gary Kluenenberg, Jim Roggenkamp, Jeff Wynn, Randy Mohs, Jim Wynn, Jim Hegarty.
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Bluffton.
