Man charged for alleged Nimrod Jubilee assault
A Blomkest, Minn. man was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly breaking the jaw of another man during a fight at Nimrod Jubilee days.
According to court records, 20-year-old Cody Robert Simenson punched a 24-year-old man in the face with a closed fist, which was witnessed by a sheriff's deputy.
The deputy immediately took Simenson into custody. Simenson told the deputy the other man had been bothering him all night and was trying to take his cowboy hat and said the man was "talking stupid" to him.
First responders attended to the alleged victim at the scene and investigators learned the man's jaw was broken and he had a tooth missing from the incident.
Simenson was released on $500 bond and was set for a court hearing on Oct. 3.
