Mackner elected president of the Minnesota Optometric Association
Dr. Jeffrey Mackner has been elected President of the Minnesota Optometric Association at the association's annual meeting in Minneapolis recently.
Mackner is an optometrist at MN Eye Care Network/ Pelican Rapids Eye Clinic with his partners, Dr. Timothy Neitzke, Dr. William Hartman and associate Dr. Randy Kempfer. The practice has five offices, with locations in Pelican Rapids, Perham, Wadena, Long Prairie and Barnesville.
Mackner has practiced optometry for 21 years. He has been active on the MOA Board of Trustees since 2006, and has held several board positions, including chair of the education committee and most recently, president elect. He has served as the MOA board liaison to the education committee.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Mackner went on to receive a degree of doctor of optometry from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Ore. He lives in rural Pelican Rapids with his wife, Connie, and their three children. He enjoys hunting, fishing and playing basketball with his sons.
