M State - Wadena answers transfer degree questions
Questions about transfer degrees will be answered on the Wadena campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
The campus is hosting a Transfer Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help students prepare for and understand the process of earning a two-year Associate of Arts degree and then transferring to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree.
The M State Associate of Arts degree, also called a University Transfer degree, provides a broad general education that prepares students to pursue a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university. By earning an AA degree with a liberal arts or science focus, students fulfill the first two years of most four-year degree programs.
The fair is open to current M State students, area high school students and community members who are interested in a college education.
Representatives from a number of regional colleges will be on hand, including Bemidji State University, Minnesota State University Moorhead, St. Cloud State University, Metropolitan State University, Southwest Minnesota State University, Valley City State University, Crown College, Minnesota State University Mankato, College of St. Scholastica, Mayville State University, North Dakota State University and Bethel University.
