She enjoyed raising beautiful flowers into colorful splendor for all to see. Lucile enjoyed doing handcrafts; especially, knitting, crocheting and doing needle point on plastic canvas. She was a member of the Wadena United Methodist Church for many years and started their church quilting circle, which still uses many of her designs in their quilting projects today. She was also instrumental in the formation of the Parkinsons Support Group in Wadena where she shared information monthly for a number of years. In June of 1999, Lucile and John moved to Park Rapids where they made their home at the Summerfield Place Apartments. She was active in the Hubbard United Methodist Church in Hubbard as long as her health allowed. Above all, Lucile was a devoted wife to her husband, John and also loved the rest of her family with all her heart.
