Live Nativity set for Christmas morning
The 16th Annual Live Nativity in Wadena will be held on Christmas Day at 10 a.m. at the Wadena National Guard Armory.
This indoor nativity brings together community people, live farm animals and a re-enacted Christmas story with simple costuming and props around a service of carols, scripture and prayer on Christmas morning. A free will offering will be received for area food shelves. Apple cider and Christmas cookies will be served following the one hour event.
The Wadena and the Minnesota National Guard again help to host this event at their warm Wadena Armory. Area farmers bring their calves, sheep, donkey, goats and chickens to the simple stable built by the congregations of Messiah Lutheran of Wadena and Balsamlund Lutheran of Aldrich. Bring your kids a bit early and they can join in the nativity as a shepherd or angel.
