Live nativity planned at Armory on Christmas morning
The 15th Annual Live Nativity in Wadena will be held at 10 am on Christmas Day at the Wadena National Guard Armory.
This nativity brings together community people, live farm animals, a re-enacted Christmas story with simple costuming and props, around a service of carols, Scripture and prayer on Christmas morning. Apple cider and Christmas cookies will be served following the one-hour event.
The Wadena and the Minnesota National Guard again help to host this event at their warm Wadena Armory. Area farmers bring their calves, sheep, donkey, goats and chickens to the simple stable built by the congregations of Messiah Lutheran of Wadena and Balsamlund Lutheran of Aldrich. Kids can come early and they can join in the nativity as a shepherd or angel.
