ADULT AND YOUTH

Adult Fiction

"A Crooked Number" - Nathan Jorgenson. With a remarkable combination of pathos and humor, Jorgenson spins another unique and powerful yarn about the human condition. "A Crooked Number" chronicles the relationship of freshman dental student Grant Thorson and Professor Kate Bellows. Jorgenson weaves the themes young love, graduate school, and amateur baseball into a rich and tender coming-of-age story.

"Beg for Mercy" - Jami Alden. Shannon, a Goodreads author, first love was reading, diving into other realities to explore and brave new worlds. To share her writing is the best experience of all.

"Blood and Fire" - S. McKenna. Restless and impulsive, Bruno Ranieri has the temperament to fit right in with the McClouds. And just like the McCloud brothers, Bruno has a dangerous past to contend with -- one that's about to come crashing back into his life. Bruno Ranieri has always lived at a chaotic pace, and that goes double lately. Since his uncle's untimely demise, Bruno is working himself to the bone, trying to keep his nose clean and save the family business. It's not easy when the nightmares that plagued his childhood are hi-jacking what little rest he gets. So when exotically beautiful Lily Parr sashays into his all-night restaurant, claiming to be on the run from mysterious assassins, Bruno starts to wonder if sleep deprivation is finally getting to him. Especially when Lily implies that Bruno is involved. But the violence that accompanies her arrival is no illusion. Nor is the blisteringly hot, completely inconvenient desire that explodes between them.

"DC Dead" - Stuart Woods. After a shocking loss, Stone Barrington is at loose ends, unsure if he wants to stay in New York and continue his work as a partner at Woodman & Weld. It comes as a welcome relief when he's summoned to Washington, D.C., by President Will Lee. The president has a special operation that calls for Stone's unique skill set, and it's a mission that will reunite him with his former partner in crime, Holly Barker.
