Lakewood Health System begins fundraising campaign
Lakewood Health System has officially begun its Capital Campaign to raise money to revitalize the care center.
During the revitalization process the hope is to add various technological, logistical and aesthetic improvements, such as a new call light system to continue our exceptional care for our residents, improved family gathering and resident rooms and a private Hospice room for residents and their families.
This renovation calls for a community investment of $400,000, with a 2-to-1 match from the state, making it a total of $1.2 million to complete the project. With a donation comes the opportunity to name a wing or room of the care center. So far, 100% of the LHS Foundation and System board members have pledged to participate in the campaign.
Tim Rice, president and CEO of Lakewood Health System, is eager for the campaign to commence.
"We are proud to have served this community for 75 years and have seen a lot of exciting changes and growth over that time," said Rice. "One thing that hasn't changed, however, is our constant focus on why we're here: our patients and residents. This project gives us the opportunity to better meet our residents' needs and provide them more comforts of home."
