High Stakes for Hospice Golf Tourney July 16
On Monday, July 16, Maple Hills Golf Course will be hosting the 18th Annual charity golf tournament to raise funds for Hospice of the Red River Valley in Detroit Lakes and the surrounding areas.
Over the past 17 years, close to $100,000 has been raised by this tournament and that doesn't include the good will and fun the day generates. When the tournament began in 1989, only a handful were helped on their journeys by hospice. In 2006, the Detroit Lakes office served over 190 patients and families.
This year, the tournament committee is calling the event High Stakes for Hospice! Prizes and play will center on a cards theme. Prizes will be awarded both for skill and fun. The generosity of the community allows golfers to be assured that their $50 registration fee goes directly to providing hospice services to patients and families.
Registration will begin at 3 p.m. for the 4-person, 9-hole scramble. Play starts at 4 p.m. Cost is $50 per golfer or $200 per team. For more information, or to register (by July 6, please!) call 218-847-9493, firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop by the Hospice of the Red River Valley office at 1102 W River Rd, Detroit Lakes.
