Eleven players scored points for the Lakers with five of them hitting double figures. Brian Labat was high point man with 15. Kirk McLeod, Joe Mollberg and Josh Stalberger tied with 13 apiece. Connor McLeod chipped in with 12.

"We never really got going in this game," WDC head coach Tom VanErp said. "DL beat us down the floor, scoring many of their first half points in transition."

WDC's Jordan Reed led the all scorers with 21 tallies. Reed came up with another double-double by hauling down 10 of WDC's 24 rebounds. The Lakers grabbed 34 rebounds.

The Wolverines committed 23 turnovers while the Lakers were guilty of 14.

The 92-point effort was DL's strongest offensive showing since Jan. 7 when they trumped Park Rapids 99-37. The Lakers are now 18-7 after going 12-15 last year. The Lakers share a 9-1 mark with Pequot Lakes in Mid-State Conference play.

The loss dropped VanErp's Wolverines to 5-5 in Mid-State Conference play and 9-14 overall.

Jordan Reed and Evan VanErp supplied the fireworks Thursday as the Wolverines coasted past the Hornets.

Reed tallied a game-high 24 points, including his team's first 10 of the game, VanErp nailed a season-high 23 as the Hornets packed their zone to stop Reed down low. VanErp canned five of his three-point attempts and was eight-for-nine at the foul stripe.

Reed completed another double-double by pulling down 14 rebounds. The Wolverines dominated the boards 54-34.

"This game was kind of methodical," WDC head coach Tom VanErp said. "The big scoring run never really came. We just played steady defense and made some timely shots."

Daniel Janu was Frazee's top gunner with 20 points. The Hornets had miserable luck on their three-point attempts going 0-for-13. They shot a weak 28 percent overall.
