Klemme joins PJ staff as reporter
Rachelle Klemme has joined the staff of the Wadena Pioneer Journal as a reporter.
She is a graduate of Biola University in La Mirada, Calif., where she majored in film/television/radio, enjoyed digital photography, and wrote for the student newspaper. Her interest in print journalism began during her high school years in Starbuck, Minn.
Prior to joining the Pioneer Journal, Klemme was a part-time production assistant for WDAZ in Grand Forks where she worked behind the scenes of the evening newscasts.
Klemme is familiar with Wadena from childhood, having lived in town with her family from 1990-1997. She enjoyed running through the woods, playing with friends in the many parks and marshes, writing stories about wild birds and foxes, putting her ears to the ground when the trains passed by, and watching Disney movies from the balcony of the Cozy Theatre.
Klemme still enjoys the Minnesota outdoors along with books, movies and road trips. She looks forward to living and working in the Wadena area in the days ahead.
