Kind stranger lends mittens
I was in the grocery store on Saturday, and as I was walking down the aisle a woman came around the corner. She was very friendly and asked, "How are you?" I answered, "Fine," then added, "Cold! I forgot my mittens!" She then said, "I have a pair for you. I'll got get them." I said she didn't have to, and it was my mistake for forgetting them. She firmly insisted that I stay right where I was so she could find me, and
"flew" out of the store. A few minutes later, she returned with the warmest gloves that I have ever put my hands into!
I asked her what her name was, and she replied, "Nancy. What is your name?" I told her, and then asked for her last name, at which time she replied it didn't matter. I said it did so I could return the gloves. She then said, "No, keep them. I have more in the trunk of my car."
In the Bible, it says to treat others kindly because you never know which ones are angels (or something like that). Well I want you to know, Nancy, that you are truly one of God's angels.
My hands were never so warm as I went home that afternoon.
