Area kids enjoyed a day off from school for Presidents' Day Monday by taking part in a 4-H Project Day held at the United Methodist Church in Sebeka. Project day was not only for 4-Hers, but all youth in the area. Kids grades K-6 from Wadena, Menahga, Sebeka, Staples, Aldrich, Deer Creek, Hewitt, Verndale and New York Mills had great fun at project day this year. The kids learned how to build a hat rack shelf, scrapbook bows and cards, cooked three course pizza pies, sewed fleece hats and donated one to charity and built and programmed robots. Cloverbud age kids (K-2) also had fun learning about winter wonderlands for the morning, enjoying snowmen on a stick for snack, making snowflake ornaments, winter scenes and playing fun games.
