Judith Elaine Brill, 55, of Greenville, S.C., formerly of Staples, died at her home from COPD.
She was born to Lawrence and Wilma (Gehlar) Brill on Oct. 5, 1947 in Staples. She attended and graduated from Staples High School. She moved to Minneapolis until 1975 when she and her daughters moved to Las Vegas, where they lived for five years. They moved to Bullhead City, Ariz., until 2000. She worked as a waitress and a black jack dealer at Harrah's Casino in Laughlin, Nev. For health reasons in 2000, she moved to South Carolina to live with her oldest daughter, Tina, and her two grandchildren, where she lived until her death.
A celebration of life/memorial was held on Tuesday, April 7, at Ten-Hi Bar on U.S. Highway 10 in Motley.
Survivors include her daughters, Tina Compton, Greenville, S.C., and Tanya Brill, Wadena; three grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Jack) Olson, Wadena, and Carolyn (Tony) Johnson, Beulah, N.D.; and brothers, David (Becky) Brill, Burlington, Iowa, and Charles Brill Superior, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, baby Herbert, Douglas and Larry; and two nephews.
