Funeral services were held for Joyce Stine age 71, of Wadena, Minnesota on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Wadena, Minnesota, with Pastor Allen Refsland officiating. The pallbearers were her grandsons: Matthew, Kyle, Eric, Michael, Tyler and David. The hymns were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Terry Christopherson. Joyce was laid to rest in Perham City Cemetery, Perham, Minnesota.

Joyce Darlene Stoltz was born on December 16, 1941 in New York Mills, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Ernest and Opal (Almy) Stoltz. Joyce graduated with the Class of 1960 from New York Mills High School. On February 26, 1961 Joyce was united in marriage to Robert Claire Stine. This union was blessed with four children. They resided in Sebeka and Menahga for a short time, then moved to Wadena, Minnesota. Joyce was a child care provider for Christian Womens Club and M State in Wadena for numerous years. She collected recipes and cook books. She loved cooking, canning and baking and scrapbooking. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She wore a beautiful smile every day. On October 19, 2013 Joyce passed away at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples, Minnesota at 71 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Joyce in death were her parents; sister, Bernice Nemeth; brother, Ray Stoltz and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Samuelson.

Joyce is survived by her daughters: Jolene (Greg) Samuelson of Parkers Prairie; Loreen (John Warren) Schwartz of Bluffton; sons: Dale (Sherye Sigford) Stine of Wadena; Sheldon Stine of New York Mills; 9 grandchildren: Heather (A.J. Jantz), Michael (Whitney), Arielle, Matthew (Jami), Kyle (Stacy), Eric, Ashlee (David), Tyler (Brittani Groshong) and Kelsey; 12 great-grandchildren: Mariah, Mason, Parker, Riley, Hayden, Ryker, Hailee, Payton, Landen, Makenna, Conner and Capri; sister, Agnes (Roy) Anderson of Lakewood, Colorado; lifelong friend, Diana Wegscheid; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
