Jon Herbert Reinitz, 47, of Wadena and formerly of Chaska, Minn., passed away early Saturday morning, Aug. 15, at the Elders Home in New York Mills.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed his time outdoors hunting and fishing with his sons and brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wadena with the Revs. Rachel Stout and Rob Nelson officiating. A prayer service and committal was held Wednesday, Aug. 19 in St. John's Lutheran Church in Chaska with visitation one hour before the services. Burial took place in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery next to his parents. Pallbearers were his three sons, Jeremy, Justin and Jared, and his three brothers, Jim, Jerome and Joel. Honorary pallbearers were Danielle Reinitz and Staci McKellep. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena (www.johnsonmemorialhome.com).
Survivors include his loving family; wife, Becky; sons, Jeremy, Justin and Jared; siblings, James and Cheryl Reinitz, Janeen Lano and fiance Rick Reigstad, Janelle Reinitz, Joel and Nancy Reinitz, Jerome and Dawn Reinitz and Jill and Neal Heminger; mother-in-law Estella Loween; brothers- and sisters-in-law Bonita and Scott McKellep, Scott and Peggy Loween, Steve and Katy Loween; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Elaine (Schneewind) Reinitz.
