Jeffrey Lee Dague, 52, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2008, in Louisville, Ky.
He was born Sept. 11, 1955, to Royston and Eunice (Erickson) Dague in Wadena. He married Sharon Paulson in 1974. He later married Debra Niemela on Aug. 11, 1989, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Verndale. He will be remembered as the owner and operator of J & R Mattresses for 30 years. He was recently driving truck for Daggett Trucking. He enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting and golf. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Verndale with the Revs. Daryl Jacobson and Bill Ness officiating. Honorary pallbearers were all of his grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Gene Finck, Gary Kneisl, Dale Finck, Ryan Winters and Kevin Fuller. Survivors include his wife, Debra; parents, Royston and Eunice; son, Christopher (Melanie) of Osakis; daughters, Michelle (Brandon) Barus of Litchfield, Erica (Josh) Scott of Ingleside, Texas, and Kelly Dague of Fort Collins, Colo.; five grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Dee) of Fargo, N.D.; sisters, Karen Young of Crystal, Deb (Dick) Finck of Bertha, Pam (Dave) Fuller of Verndale, and Laura (Terry) Campbell of Bertha; and many family members including nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi Jo Niemela; and a grandson.
