The Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanette Olson of Ottertail will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014, at St. Anns Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Friends may call at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena on Thursday from 5:00-8:00p.m., with Prayers at 6:00p.m. Visitation will resume on at the church on Friday from 9:30 until the time of Mass. Jeanette passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at her home in Ottertail, MN. She was 74 years old.
Jeanette was born on July 26, 1939, to Victor and Amanda "Frances" (Anderson) Johnson in Sebeka, MN. She married Gerald Olson on August 17, 1957, in Wadena. She worked as an accountant and filled her spare hours bowling, fishing and gardening, and was a member of the Ottertail Lions Club. Precious time was spent with her family.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Jerry on June 18, 1996; parents Victor and Frances; and sister Dorothy VanHorn.
She is survived by her son Victor (Kathy Lilley) Olson of Perham; daughters Theresa (Scot) Evans of Lindstrom and Jeannie (Keven) Fernstrom of Andover; grandson Josh; granddaughters Misty, Nicole and Alison; great-grandchildren Austin, Devyn, Kora and Kalla; brothers Calvin (Kathy) Johnson of Ottertail and sister Arlene (Carroll) Eckman of Embarrass.
Pallbearers will be Victor Olson, Josh Olson, Austin Jelinek-Hill, Keven Fernstrom, Brad Crabtree and Harley Petranek.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena.
