Jarad Jackson and Diane Dugas were married Oct. 22, 2011, at the Park Place Double Tree Inn in St. Louis Park, Minn.
Parents of the groom are Marilyn and Johnny Carver of Wadena and Jack and Arlyce Jackson of Dickinson, N.D. Parents of the bride are Deb and Bob Smoger of Hermantown and George and Colleen Dugas of Two Harbors.
Jarad's best man was Ryan Sorenson, formerly of Wadena and now of Durango, Colo. The groomsmen were John Sundby, formerly of Wadena and now of St. Cloud; Landon Funk of Nashville, Tenn.; and Rick Lemke of Prior Lake.
Diane's maid of honor was Joy Koeppel. Her bridesmaids were Amanda Franklin, Natalie Frey-Huls, and Geb Lavone, all friends of the bride since her college and graduate school years. Diane's niece, Livia Dugas of Two Harbors, served as the flower girl.
Jarad's grandmother, Betty Baxter, of Hartland, Wis., played the music for the processional and recessional. His mother, Marilyn Carver, also played music during the ceremony. Jarad's sister, Kimi Jackson of Harlingen, Texas, was the reader. Jarad and his groomsmen performed some musical selections together at the reception afterward.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Wadena-Deer Creek High School, and a graduate of St. Cloud State University. He is employed as a sales representative for Norandex Building Materials Distribution in Bloomington. Diane is a 1997 graduate of Hermantown High School, and holds B.S. and M.Ed. degrees from the University of Minnesota. She is employed as a consumer credit counselor at the nonprofit FamilyMeans in Minneapolis.
The couple will make their home in St. Louis Park. A winter honeymoon in Mexico is planned.
