Industries support M State Wadena scholarships
The Wadena Area College Foundation recently awarded $13,000 in industry-supported scholarships to students in the electrical line worker and telecommunications programs at M State Wadena.
Funds for the scholarships were donated by Crow Wing Power in Brainerd, Lake Region Electric Cooperative in Pelican Rapids, Otter Tail Power Co. in Fergus Falls, Stearns Electric in Melrose and Minnesota Cable Communications Association in St. Paul.
This year, for the first time, the electrical line worker program will graduate students with both one-year diplomas and two-year AAS degrees.
