High-flying art at Open Book

Anne Sawyer-Aitch, the September artist-in-residence at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center, watched the hanging of her bird sculptures at An Open Book on Sunday, Oct. 24. Jamie Houts, the bookstore's "artist-in-residence," supervised while the actual work of getting the birds airborne was accomplished by "the guys": Jemiah Aitch and Chris Houts. John Kempf, SaraBeth Kawlewski, Skylar, Cheyenne and Sage Houts all provided ground support.
