Hendershot benefit set For Dec. 4
A benefit for Ken Hendershot will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Denim & Diamonds in Hewitt.
Hendershot was diagnosed with colon cancer in January and went through radiation and chemotherapy treatments. He had a colostomy (colon surgery) in July to remove the tumor. While recovering from the surgery, a malignant tumor was found on his lung. Hendershot had another surgery in October and the top lobe of his left lung was removed. He has yet another surgery in the future to reverse the colostomy (reconnect the colon).
Pork sandwiches, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, chips and bars will be served. There will be live music from 4-6 p.m., a silent auction and live entertainment starting at 9 p.m.
