Hartman cards 89 at Blueberry Pines
Paige Hartman shot an 89 Tuesday as the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines posted a team round of 399 for sixth place honors in the United North Central Invitational at Blueberry Pines.
Hartman was 15 strokes off the winning pace set by Grand Rapids medalist Dani DelGrego. Her round was 13 strokes better than WDC's Hope Theisen, who was runner-up on the WDC squad with a 102. Casie Polman came in with a 103 while Amanda Kramer shot a 105, Gabi Ross fired a 107 and Heather Theisen carded a 109.
Grand Rapids edged Pequot Lakes for top honors with a 337. The Patriots came in with a 340.

Wolverines place fifth at Whitebirch course
The Wolverines matched their 400 team round in the 2011 Mid-State Conference tournament Monday in the 2012 conference meet at Whitebirch Golf Course near Pequot Lakes.
Paige Hartman, Heather Theisen and Hope Theisen shot 98, 99 and 100 to pace the Wolverines. Rounding out the WDC field were Amanda Kramer with a 103, Gabi Ross with a 105 and Breanna Speed with a 112.
Kate Smith shot a tournament-best 71 as she led Detroit Lakes to a winning 307 team round. Emily Israelson of Staples-Motley was runner-up with a 76.
