Groundbreaking held for new LHS Browerville clinic
Lakewood Health System recently held a ceremony with Browerville city officials and Lakewood Health System leaders, board members, physicians and staff members to kick-off the groundbreaking of its new Browerville Clinic. Groundbreaking began on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Nor-Son Construction Company is the general contractor for the project.
Located just south of Browerville on U.S. Highway 71, the new clinic will offer 6,400 square feet to include six exam rooms, physical therapy services and the addition of a second provider. Until the new building is finished, business will continue as usual at the current Lakewood Health System Browerville Clinic, which is located at 333 Gillis Avenue S.
"We've been experiencing a lot of growth at our Browerville clinic," said Craig Wolhowe, director of clinical services at Lakewood Health System. "The new building will be built to offer the opportunity for later expansion, will increase visibility from Highway 71 and improve accessibility for our patients."
The look and design of the finished building will match other Lakewood Health System clinics and provide a comfortable healing environment. The estimated completion date for the new Browerville Clinic is early March 2010.
