GOP endorses Murdock in 10B
State Rep. Mark Murdock, R-Ottertail, won the Republican Party's endorsement for the District 10B House seat at the party's endorsing convention Saturday, March 27, in Battle Lake.
Murdock, who is seeking his second term in the Minnesota House of Representatives, outpolled challenger Sue Nelson for the endorsement. To win the endorsement, a candidate needed 60 percent of the votes cast and Murdock achieved that total on the third ballot.
"Sue wished me well and I appreciate that," Murdock said. "Now we need to come together and win as a unit in November. Jobs and education will remain priorities for me in a second term, along with traditional values like pro-life and preserving our gun rights. I also look forward to helping smaller government live within its means while doing all we can to support our military veterans."
Murdock has received high scores for his voting record from the National Rifle Association, the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
