Good Samaritan helps Wadena woman, daughter after rollover
A Good Samaritan helped a 37-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter after their vehicle rolled on treacherous roads Friday, Jan. 22.
Around 9:30 p.m. that night, Wadena County sheriff's deputies responded to the rollover on U.S. Highway 10 between Wadena and Verndale.
The driver, Connie Rochelle Blessing, of Wadena, and her daughter, Shaye Nicole Blessing, were in the Good Samaritan's vehicle when authorities arrived.
Both of them were taken to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena to be checked over, and minor injuries were reported. The vehicle was a total loss, and was towed away by Madsen's Towing.
Sheriff Mike Carr said the accident was the result of a very icy road. The Verndale Police Department and Verndale Fire and Rescue also assisted on the scene.
