Geneva Mohs, 101, of Kelliher, MN, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St Patricks Catholic Church in Kelliher, MN with Fr. Adam Hamness officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM at St. Patricks Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 22 with a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Kelliher, MN.

Cease Funeral Home of Blackduck, MN assisted the family with arrangements.

Active Pallbearers will be Laura, Margaret, Theresa, Frances, Kathy Bronczyk and Connie Bourque-Horita.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Nick, Ralph, Michael and Stephen.

She was born on April 6, 1913 in Havre, MT to Peter Theodore and Laura Anastaisia (Blair) Van Kempen. She worked in the Twin Cities for a time. On July 11, 1932 she married Nickolas Mohs. They made their home Cold Spring, MN and then farmed north of Shooks. She spent the last 4 years at the Good Samaritan Center in Blackduck.

She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, wordfind and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her 8 children, Laura G. Martini of New Hope, MN, Nick (Jeanie) Mohs of Cannon City, CO, Margaret (Roy) Larson of Pine Island, MN, Ralph (Connie) Mohs of Plymouth, MN, Theresa L. (Kenneth W.) Snitker of Blairstown, IA, Frances (Robert) Kuha of Blaine, MN, Michael (Kathy) Mohs of Champlain, MN and Stephen Mohs of Solon Springs, WI; 51 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; Ervin (Ruby) Van Kempen of Starbuck, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Laura (Blair) Van Kempen; her husband, Nickolas K. Mohs; a son, John Joseph Mohs; a daughter, Katherine R. Bronczyk; two sons-in-law, Anthony Bronczyk and Peter Paul Martini; two brothers, Ray and Orville Van Kempen and a sister, Irene Lattaire.
