Gary Dean Pederson, age 67, passed away on May 23, 2009, at home with his family. Gary was born on Nov. 19, 1941, to Elmer and Irene Pederson (Frame) at Oylen, Minn.
It was in that same area he attended country school near his home. As a young man, Gary helped his parents with their mink farm. Gary loved to hunt, fish, trapping, travel, enjoyed music, cards and games. Gary also enjoyed woodcarving. In Arizona, loved shuffleboard and playing poker.
Gary was a very giving person, lending a helping hand or sharing his garden joys with the community. Gary had a great sense of humor, the most honest, kind person I've ever known.
For 33 years Gary was married to the love of his life, Judy Ann Pederson (Lowe). They were best friends and lived as one.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one brother David. He is survived by his son Randy Dean Pederson (Kim) of Anoka, Minn.; three grandchildren, Brienna, Brennan, Brittney; and one great-granddaughter McKenna.; brothers, Roger (Pat), Raymond (Pat), Glen (Brenda), Jeff (Kim) all of Nimrod/Oylen area; sisters, Carol (Chip) McCauley of Glendale, Ariz., Sue Pederson of Florida.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Oylen Alliance Tabernacle with Pastor Neal Malcore officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena.
