Free income tax assistance available
Free income tax assistance is again available for low to moderate income and senior citizen taxpayers. File federal and state returns and also file for rent and real estate tax refunds. E-file service is available at all sites. Tax Aide sites are in:
Otter Tail-Wadena CAC
Tuesdays, 12:15-5 p.m. starting Jan. 31 by appointment

Free electronic filing (e-filing) is offered at over 4,600 sites nationwide. E-filing ensures a more accurate tax return and faster processing of tax refunds. Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action, AARP, IRS and the Minnesota Department of Revenue sponsor the Tax Aide program.
Taxpayers needing assistance bring tax forms: all W-2s, 1099s interest statements, income statements, last year's tax return. Taxpayers may call Community Action Council at 218-385-2900 for information on other sites closest to them.
