Foul woes hurt Wolverines in loss to Bears
Fouls hurt but excellent free throw shooting hurt even more Tuesday night as the Wadena-Creek Wolverines saw a seven-point halftime lead evaporate in a 63-52 loss to Bertha-Hewitt.
The Wolverines were whistled for 26 fouls in the game and the Bears cashed in by converting on 31 of 34 free throws.
"The story of the game is that Bertha-Hewitt shot 35 free throws and WDC shot only four the entire game," WDC head coach Tom VanErp said.
