Five attend FCCLA Disco Fever Leadership Camp

Five Wadena-Deer Creek Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter members attended Disco Fever Leadership Camp on the College of St. Benedict campus July 27-28.

Region officers and chapter leaders practiced the round table workshops that they will be presenting at their region meetings. Motivational speaker Kelly Barnes from Oklahoma provided training to all members to inspire them to begin their plans for a fabulous year of setting goals and working to meet them. During the process the members gained much knowledge about the many FCCLA national projects.

Kaylen Larson, East Grand Forks, Minn., who was recently elected as the National FCCLA president, also assisted in training the FCCLA leaders.

Attending from WDC FCCLA were Region 6 Treasurer Desiree Isola, Shania Lannes, Anissa Mench, Rylie Langer and Hope Norenberg, as well as adviser, Cindi Koll.

When tested on their FCCLA knowledge, Isola earned the highest score of all of the region officers and Mench earned the highest score of all of the chapter leaders in
