FCCLA members who attended included: Paige Schiller, Hope Steward, Adrianna Buettner and Yalonda Nelson.

"This was a great opportunity for FCCLA members to shadow a legislator," Nelson said. "We learned a lot about what our legislators do in a day."

Buettner learned that Sen. Claire Robling is always on the move. She is a very busy person. FCCLA members got to witness a committee meeting as well. Nelson shadowed Sen. Gen Olson, who gave her the opportunity to speak in front of the transportation committee meeting. Many senators extended compliments to Nelson on her community projects she spoke of. FCCLA members also got the opportunity to visit with Sen. Dan Skogen.
