Learn to square dance March 22, 29

Traditional square dance lessons can require three months or more of commitment to weekly sessions. Here is a chance to "blast" into square dance in just two Saturdays of fast-paced learning and dancing. Participants will learn about 50 calls during these two sessions and can begin attending the Wadena Whirlaways Club dances. Participants will be able to learn the remaining mainstream calls at workshops offered a half-hour before our regular dances, or at special "new-dancer" dances we plan to offer.

The two sessions are March 22 and March 29 at Verndale Public School, 411 SW Brown Street. Dance lessons will begin at 10 a.m. both days followed by a lunch at noon. Dancing will resume at 1 p.m. and end at 3 p.m. Beginners must attend the session March 22 to attend the March 29 session.

Pre-registration is appreciated, call Jan at (218) 894-1821 or Linda at (218) 894-3946, but walk-ins also welcome.
