England Prairie Pioneer Days are this weekend
An antique tractor pull, goat shearing, a gospel show and coronation of royalty are just a few of the activities on tap for this weekend at the England Prairie Pioneer Days.
The show opens Friday at 3 p.m. with a blind tractor race and barrel race. Supper will be served from 5-7 p.m., with the coronation of royalty at 6:45 p.m. and a gospel show starting at 7 p.m.
The grounds open at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, with threshing and sawmill demonstrations starting at 10 a.m. The antique tractor pull starts at 11 a.m., and the parade is at 1 p.m. A kiddie coin hunt will be at 3:30 p.m., with food from 5-7 p.m. The Vagabonds from Motley will perform at 7 p.m.
The grounds open again at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, with activities kicked off at 9 a.m. with a worship service with the Rev. Al Jeske.
A cafeteria style lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
The Sunday parade is at 1 p.m. and Bingo will run from 2-4 p.m.
The grounds are southeast of Wadena and southwest of Verndale along Wadena County Road 1.
