The annual Empty Stocking Fund Talent Program, organized by Diane Peters, was held Wednesday night at the WDC High School Commons and broadcast live on KWAD Radio. By the end of the night, $12,792.50 had been raised for the Empty Stocking Fund, which provides meals and Christmas gifts like warm clothing to local families in need. Last year, roughly $19,000 was raised, and this year's goal is $21,000 because of a much larger list of families in need this Christmas.
